The Yale University Science of Well-Being course, is now a free online course. It's designed to help individuals increase their happiness and well-being, combining positive psychology research with practical advice giving students the tools necessary to lead a happier life. It covers misconceptions about happiness, strategies for increasing happiness, the importance of social connections, and the science of habit formation.
Students engage in weekly readings, quizzes, and assignments aimed at cultivating healthy habits and increasing positive emotions. The course is self-paced and can be completed in as little as 10 weeks. It is led by Professor Laurie Santos of the Yale Psychology Department and has been taken by over 2 million students worldwide.
